EduRESCUE - Welcome!
The COVID-19 pandemic has been echoed in the Finnish society as problems of well-being and learning loss, as well as delays and disruptions in studies. Above all, it has increased the risk to the accessibility of equal, high-quality education. The EduRESCUE project develops research-based societal solutions, tools and coping strategies to strengthen the ability of the Finnish education system and society to cope with similar crises in the future.
Our objectives are...
(1) ...to ensure pupils’ and students’ equal access to education, and that individual experiences and needs are being taken into account in educational policy making and teaching.
(2) ...to support the well-being of students, teachers, principals, and parents and their ability to recover and renew from pandemic and other crises.
(3) ...to identify students’ learning losses caused by the pandemic and to develop tools for catching up the loss and reducing the risk of delays and disruptions in studies.
(4) ...to foster teachers’, principals’, teacher students’ and teacher educators’ competence to handle and come out of crises and other exceptional circumstances.
(5) ...to co-create a roadmap with stakeholders for recovery from the pandemic to support decision-making.
